Amarnath Yatra

The best time to go there is during the Amarnath Yatra which commences every year between late June and early July.

The most prominent attraction here is the ice lingam which is naturally formed and has been seen to change sizes with waxes and wanes of the moon and change of seasons.

Best time to vist 

May – September is the best time for Amarnath trek as the climate (ranging between 9° – 34°) is favourable offering stunning views of the lush green environment.

Distance 

The tricky trek from Pahalgam to Amarnath with night rests at Chandanwari, Sheshnag and Panchtarni cover a distance of 45 km.
